How much does managed IT cost in Miami in 2026?
The short answer. Most businesses in the United States pay between about $100 and $250 per user per month for managed IT in 2026, with the middle of the market around $150 to $200. In Miami, our plans cost $120, $180 or $300 per seat per month, for offices with 10 seats or more.
The rest of this guide explains what that money should buy, what makes the price go up or down, the fees to ask about before you sign, and three worked examples you can compare against any quote.
What the market charges in 2026
Published 2026 pricing guides from managed IT providers across the country land in the same place. Basic plans, with help desk, monitoring and patching but little security, start around $100 per user. Standard plans, the ones most businesses of 10 to 100 people choose, run about $150 to $200. Plans with 24/7 coverage, compliance documentation and deeper security run $200 to $300 or more.
Two things move a Miami quote inside that range: how fast you need an answer when something breaks, and how much security and compliance work is included in the price instead of billed on top.
What a managed IT plan should include
If a quote leaves any of these out, ask what they cost separately:
- Help desk for every person on the plan, by phone and ticket, with a written response target.
- Monitoring and maintenance of computers, servers and network equipment, with patching on a schedule.
- Endpoint security on every computer: managed antivirus and threat detection, watched by people, not just installed.
- Backup of servers and Microsoft 365, with restores tested, not assumed.
- Microsoft 365 administration: accounts, licenses, security settings and devices.
- On-site time for things that cannot be fixed remotely.
- A named account executive for the owner and one deputy, and someone who reviews your IT with you at least once a year.
What makes the price go up or down
- Hours of coverage. Business hours only is the lowest price. Emergencies covered 24/7, or everything covered 24/7, costs more because someone has to be awake.
- Response time. A one-hour response target costs less than 30 minutes, and 30 minutes costs less than 15.
- On-site time. Plans that include engineer hours at your office cost more than remote-only plans, and are worth it for most offices with printers, networks and people who prefer a visit.
- Security and compliance. HIPAA, cyber-insurance requirements and audit evidence take real work. It is either included or billed as a project.
- The state of your environment. Old equipment and undocumented networks cost more to support, and some providers add an onboarding fee to clean them up.
Per user, per device or per seat
Most providers now price per user, because one person usually has a computer, a phone and a tablet. Per-device pricing looks cheaper on paper and often costs more once every device is counted.
We price per seat: one person plus their primary computer, phone, mobile and tablet. A shared computer with no person attached is an additional computer at a lower price, and a person with only a phone or tablet is an additional user, also at a lower price. That way you pay for how your office actually works, not for a device count.
Fees to ask about before you sign
- Onboarding or setup fees, and what they cover.
- After-hours rates for anything outside the plan's hours.
- Projects: what counts as a project, and what the hourly rate is.
- Security add-ons that are required but not in the per-user price.
- Price increases during the term and at renewal, and whether they are capped.
- Exit terms: whether you get your passwords, documentation and network drawings back without a fee when you leave.
A good provider answers all six in writing before you sign.

- A 12-person office on Standard, with three shared computers: 12 seats × $180 = $2,160, plus 3 additional computers × $100 = $300. $2,460 a month.
- A 30-person company on Standard: 30 seats × $180 = $5,400, less 5% for 25 seats or more. $5,130 a month.
- A 15-person medical practice on Premium, for 24/7 coverage: 15 seats × $300. $4,500 a month, with HIPAA Business Associate Agreements and documented safeguards. See HIPAA IT support.

Is managed IT worth it compared with hiring?
For an office of ten to fifty people, a managed plan usually costs less than one full-time IT employee, and it gives you a team: help desk, security, network and Microsoft 365 specialists, plus cover at night, on weekends and during vacations. One person cannot be all of that. Above about a hundred people, many companies keep an internal IT lead and add a provider for depth; we call that co-managed IT.
Not ready for a plan?
You do not need a contract to start. On-Demand support is $119 an hour remote and $149 on site in South Florida, and your first ticket is free if we cannot fix or diagnose it in the first hour. IT Shield protects business computers from $10 per device per month with no managed agreement, and the fees from your last three months are credited against your first month on a plan.
